High Peak Shooting – Pheasant, Grouse, Duck & Partridge Shooting Days

We make every effort to ensure all our visitors enjoy great shooting throughout the season. Here's what some our more experienced shots have to say about High Peak.

Quotes...

An excellent day, very good value for money. Even better, it was right on my door step with no long distance driving.
- Peter Wilson, ex member of the British rifle team

I have never enjoyed shooting as much due the pleasant surroundings of the High Peaks in Autumn and the birds were flying high and fast. Some of the best shooting I have ever seen. The way the birds came down off the top down the line was simply superb.
- Mark Clare

The day improved my shooting no end, missing such technical birds.
- Steve Tomlinson

Very challenging shooting, There isn’t much time to think as they come whipping over you. But that’s the best way to shoot – instinctively. I am sure I was missing the birds because they saw my bright red jersey…..!
- Adam Burford.

Some of the best birds I have ever shot and good company, a good atmosphere of pxxx taking. And no one was having any of that red jersey stuff from Adam Burford…………
- Peter Darling

The topography of the High Peak shoot undoubtably aids the presentation of the birds, but more and more Shots nowadays recoil from the idea of shooting high birds.
Unlike on shoots where altitude is everything, refreshingly Paul Goddard is not interested in simply issuing his Guns with binoculars. While there’s a thrill in seeing a tall bird, not everyone wants to raise their gun at it, and at this shoot there’s sport for all.
- Alastair Balman, Shooting Times & Country Magazine
